[real life update]
Presently I am in my very final semester of my undergraduate education.

Granted, it has taken 6 years because of switching majors – taking community college student government too seriously and getting a minor here in Germany but I am finishing up.

For posterity, I wanted to mention my final selection of classes because I kind of love them this time. I am taking: A ‘Theories of Myth’ class – where we analyze the structure and composition of these ancient stories, talk about cognitive bias and the creation of truth!

Then two classes on gender, one of which is in German and titled ‘Gender & Globalization’ which is really hard and complicated, the other which is called ‘Theories of Gender and Their Politics: Feminist and Queer Theory.” I am so excited about this class. The teacher is pretty much a wizard from Yale, with long grey hair, who speaks 5 languages and is crazy wise.

Oh and I am in an upper intermediate German language class.

My final class is kind of ironic, and it took the most wrangling in order to be allowed to take it, it’s a master level English composition course. The theme of the papers so far is England and it’s sense of nationalism.

There’s where I am at right now. In addition to this I am prepping for Kiez Burn, a Berlin festival that was inspired by Burning Man. I’m one of the organizers for our ‘Flow Camp’ and am taking care of decorations and the kitchen.

[fantasy life update]
Next month I am really looking forward to a larp called Where Androids Die, where I am playing a slightly crackpot robot.

On top of this my D&D game has been running each week with a few new players and the plot has been delightful, horrifying and engaging.

Similarly I am writing a LARP to take place at my old college in California. I have put forth a proposal to borrow the design building for a weekend and let a lot of my former classmates get the chance to play together.

Thanks for reading this update, it is a bit long and I’m glad you care. ♥
