Seems my neigh­bor fi­nal­ly took down their confederate/blue lives mat­ter flag sit­u­a­tion.

I won­der if some­one in my neigh­bor­hood was ly­ing in bed at, like, 3am ob­sess­ing about it be­cause they are su­per fuck­ing tired of be­ing as­sault­ed with that bull­shit every fuck­ing day and can’t even imag­ine the pain that is caus­ing their BIPOC neigh­bors.

So they got out of bed and rode over there in the mid­dle of the night on their bike to drop off a hasti­ly writ­ten four-page man­i­festo on their front porch about the re­la­tion­ship be­tween White su­prema­cy and the vi­o­lent po­lice state that was ar­guably pret­ty in­for­ma­tive, but most­ly just a way to bury a se­ries of thin­ly veiled threats about how if they didn’t take that shit down I damn sure would.

I’m sure this per­son ac­tu­al­ly spent a lot of time the next day deeply re­gret­ting do­ing this and shame spi­ral­ing be­cause peo­ple tend to dou­ble down in these sit­u­a­tions and it could have to­tal­ly back­fired and then what would be the move to pro­tect and cel­e­brate this neighborhood’s di­ver­si­ty, so the pos­i­tive out­come must have been su­per sur­pris­ing to them.

Huh.
