Seems my neighbor finally took down their confederate/blue lives matter flag situation.
I wonder if someone in my neighborhood was lying in bed at, like, 3am obsessing about it because they are super fucking tired of being assaulted with that bullshit every fucking day and can’t even imagine the pain that is causing their BIPOC neighbors.
So they got out of bed and rode over there in the middle of the night on their bike to drop off a hastily written four-page manifesto on their front porch about the relationship between White supremacy and the violent police state that was arguably pretty informative, but mostly just a way to bury a series of thinly veiled threats about how if they didn’t take that shit down I damn sure would.
I’m sure this person actually spent a lot of time the next day deeply regretting doing this and shame spiraling because people tend to double down in these situations and it could have totally backfired and then what would be the move to protect and celebrate this neighborhood’s diversity, so the positive outcome must have been super surprising to them.
Huh.
I GUESS WE’LL NEVER KNOW.
