when i say i want equal­i­ty

i want the equal right to lose my chil­dren in court

i want the equal right to lose half my wealth in di­vorce

i want to sign up for the draft

i want women’s sui­cide suc­cess rates to go up

i want to open my own door and pay for the tab on the day

i want to be ex­pect­ed to buy drinks and i want to go to jail if i so much as scare a man like i’m go­ing to hurt/kill/rape him

but most women don’t

so no, women aren’t ready for equal­i­ty yet
