I’ve been on and off
debating internally
the merits of going to North Carolina
and making a documentary
about how long it takes me
as a cis woman to get arrested for using men’s restrooms.
Even if I decide fuck yeah,
gonna do it,
it wouldn’t be until at least August
and I’d rather that it’s stopped happening by then.
(overly optimistic, I’m sure)
I’d also talk about what’s in the law
(there’s anti minimum wage raising aspects of the law as well),
how it’s impacted the local Trans community,
and the sexist and cissexist elements of the national dialogue.
Anyway,
seeking feedback on whether or not
it’s an appropriate
ally response.
