Re­mem­ber eight years ago when every­one was gar­gling Bernie’s balls and pay­ing lip ser­vice to the idea of a revolution? 

Well, what the fuck did they think a rev­o­lu­tion looks like? 

It doesn’t look like a bunch of com­fort­able white peo­ple wear­ing stu­pid hats and hold­ing up clev­er­ly word­ed signs at a per­mit­ted event with po­lice presence. 

It looks like the CEO of a pri­vate health in­sur­ance com­pa­ny get­ting shot and killed on the street.

There has nev­er been an ef­fec­tive rev­o­lu­tion in hu­man his­to­ry that wasn’t bloody.

As for the peo­ple try­ing to say they’re up­set over oth­ers hav­ing a pos­i­tive re­ac­tion to this, they aren’t ac­tu­al­ly sad be­cause some rich CEO was mur­dered, whether he had a fam­i­ly or not. 

They’re not even sad be­cause they see oth­er peo­ple cheer­ing it on. 

They’re sad be­cause their un­re­al­is­tic world view is con­stant­ly be­ing chal­lenged and they des­per­ate­ly want to keep be­liev­ing in their delusions. 

Ac­cept­ing the truth hurts. 

It’s in the same wheel­house as
“this is not who we are” and
“every­one is in­her­ent­ly good.”

There are more guns than peo­ple in this coun­try, and at the end of the day, you can’t eat a gun. 

A gun won’t pay for your health care. 

There’s only one thing a gun will do, and when peo­ple get des­per­ate enough they’re go­ing start us­ing them for their in­tend­ed purpose.
