Remember eight years ago when everyone was gargling Bernie’s balls and paying lip service to the idea of a revolution?
Well, what the fuck did they think a revolution looks like?
It doesn’t look like a bunch of comfortable white people wearing stupid hats and holding up cleverly worded signs at a permitted event with police presence.
It looks like the CEO of a private health insurance company getting shot and killed on the street.
There has never been an effective revolution in human history that wasn’t bloody.
As for the people trying to say they’re upset over others having a positive reaction to this, they aren’t actually sad because some rich CEO was murdered, whether he had a family or not.
They’re not even sad because they see other people cheering it on.
They’re sad because their unrealistic world view is constantly being challenged and they desperately want to keep believing in their delusions.
Accepting the truth hurts.
It’s in the same wheelhouse as
“this is not who we are” and
“everyone is inherently good.”
There are more guns than people in this country, and at the end of the day, you can’t eat a gun.
A gun won’t pay for your health care.
There’s only one thing a gun will do, and when people get desperate enough they’re going start using them for their intended purpose.
