I’m watching the Watchmen series and can’t stop thinking about how Steve Blackman was just like
“fuck this is so good
I have to apply what I’ve learned here
to Umbrella Academy”
and in the process managed to demonstrate completely missing the point of the Watchmen series.
“Wow, a story centered around
blackness and abuses of power and privilege,
I will homage these concepts by having
a subplot about counter sit ins wherein
I once again push the idea that how
oppressed people react to their oppression
is more important than the oppression itself,
also a subplot I will drop completely
when I want to get back to the fart jokes.”
