So I’ve been ta­per­ing off of so­cial me­dia a lit­tle bit and it feels great.

I didn’t re­al­ize how much I was trick­ing my brain into false con­nec­tions that were ac­tu­al­ly hurt­ing my men­tal health.

In the past month of not be­ing on there, I’ve got a man­u­script of a lit­tle over 50 po­ems so far that will be­come the next book and I’ve talked to a cou­ple of pub­lish­ers.

The Great Joy Hunt Work­book is also on its way and mak­ing progress to­wards get­ting here every day (go fol­low @TheGreatJoyHunt on In­sta­gram).

I’m work­ing on a cou­ple of large scale art ac­ti­va­tions, and may even de­but some vi­su­al art this year.

I wrote one of the most im­por­tant pieces of my life – Re­cov­er­ing Racist – that I will be pre­sent­ing at Sacra­men­to State’s Anti-Racism Con­vo­ca­tion Feb­ru­ary 14th. Open to the pub­lic. Click the link to reg­is­ter for free.

 

I start­ed dream­ing up my first NFT and plot­ting a na­ture hike to record found sounds with an­oth­er lo­cal mu­sic pro­duc­er.

I’m sit­ting and meet­ing with peo­ple over juice in­stead of the in­ter­net, and it’s the best move I’ve ever made.

I’m re­al­ly ex­cit­ed to meet with peo­ple in per­son (es­pe­cial­ly peo­ple I’ve only ever in­ter­act­ed with on so­cial me­dia) (in con­di­tions that don’t put my health at risk) and cultivate/strengthen re­la­tion­ships in the phys­i­cal world.
