So I’ve been tapering off of social media a little bit and it feels great.
I didn’t realize how much I was tricking my brain into false connections that were actually hurting my mental health.
In the past month of not being on there, I’ve got a manuscript of a little over 50 poems so far that will become the next book and I’ve talked to a couple of publishers.
The Great Joy Hunt Workbook is also on its way and making progress towards getting here every day (go follow @TheGreatJoyHunt on Instagram).
I’m working on a couple of large scale art activations, and may even debut some visual art this year.
I wrote one of the most important pieces of my life – Recovering Racist – that I will be presenting at Sacramento State’s Anti-Racism Convocation February 14th. Open to the public. Click the link to register for free.
I started dreaming up my first NFT and plotting a nature hike to record found sounds with another local music producer.
I’m sitting and meeting with people over juice instead of the internet, and it’s the best move I’ve ever made.
I’m really excited to meet with people in person (especially people I’ve only ever interacted with on social media) (in conditions that don’t put my health at risk) and cultivate/strengthen relationships in the physical world.
If you’ve ever wanted to be friends or collaborate in real life, hit me.
Just writing to tell you all that I think about you all often and would like to hang out in the 3D. And that there are big things coming. And invite you to come try my juice.
And be my friend in real life.
