‘only available this year’
—availability of our FLOMM 92nd anniversary U.S. postage stamp ends this week.
Thursday evening. Going to pull the plug around midnight.
why 92
My dad’s birthday was 28 July 1923
—Same month the first Bauhaus exhibition was in full swing in Weimar. It made sense to place the (faux) manifesto of FLOMM on this date.
—Also made sense to reference California HWY 92, a road dad travelled fro and to a whole lot.
—And in keeping with the design of international commemorative stamps, I came up with something that looks a bit like looking back; not quite FLOMM design but a contemporary interpretation of FLOMM. With a touch of historically-popular (well, 1990esque) typefaces, Matrix, Interstate, and Futura.

We’ll have other FLOMM postage offerings next year. Just keep an eye on our L’Edition page.
