I didn’t realize what yesterday was.
This makes the second year in a row that this date has come and gone without me remembering.
It’s been ten years. For the first eight of them yesterday was a date that brought an indescribable darkness with it for weeks before and after. I never thought I would see an April 2 without the memories of waking up in a pool of my own blood after attempting to exit stage left out of this play called life.
Some of you are there right now. Fighting for your lives. And I want you to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if you keep fighting it will get better. And someday you’ll be so far away from this point right now that you won’t even remember things that feel so big and overwhelming right now.
I love you. I’m here for you. You’ve got this. You’re Ultraviolet.
