George W. Bush also undermined our democracy by stealing an election (I would argue both considering what happened in Ohio, Michigan, and Florida in round two) and leveraging an unprecedented amount of power to the executive branch (that Trump is now enjoying). See also: Citizens United.
George W. Bush also has ties to such notable White Supremacists as David Duke, Larry Pratt, and Richard Quinn. (Also, for someone who doesn’t “like the racism” I could write a fucking series of books covering everything from his Islamophobia to his treatment of Katrina victims that unequivocally proves otherwise).
George W. Bush is also a war criminal who spit in the face of the Geneva Convention by sanctioning torture and launched an illegal war that killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians and 4,500 American soldiers.
There are many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many more parallels.
I know we all hate fucking Trump with the passion of one million suns but can we stop with the lesser evil apologist shit because George W. Bush — who is clearly only speaking out because he has a penchant for vendettas against those who cross his family (Saddam v Daddy Bush, Trump v Brother Jeb) and wants to atone for his tenure, not because of any moral center, but because Kanye West once said he didn’t like Black people and that made him look bad (see Matt Lauer interview) — mildly criticized the Fuhrer.
Fuck them both. They are both to use Trump’s favorite Stalin quote “enemies of the state.”
