Dear Marge,
Thanks for the fab painting of yours truly!
I hung it on me wall! You’re quite an artist.
In answer to your question, yes we do have Hamburgers and Fries in England, but we call French Fries “chips”!
Love, Ringo.
PS. Forgive the lateness of my reply.
When I was very young I’d read old Rolling Stone and Billboards and be amazed how so many bands that sold millions of records in the 1970s could have vanished from cultural memory.
How, I wondered, could someone make art that impacted so many lives and then just disappear from the conversation?
Then I lived through the 90s and now I understand all too well.
Turns out all those Collective Soul fans just went on about their lives.
And that Seven Mary Three song was just a grunge mook rip-off of Warrant’s very regrettably titled “Uncle Tom’s Cabin.”
For now, live through my funk.
This is me.
This is you.
This is life.
It is pure and everlasting.
This is all of us, forever.
