“The potential beauty of human life is constantly made ugly by man’s ever-recurring song of retaliation.”
—Martin Luther King Jr.
The people of America need to learn a hard lesson and if they’re paying attention and they’re ready to be honest with themselves they’ll learn it from what we’re living through right now.
It doesn’t matter that your neighbor Doris across the street is so nice when you see her watering her lawn and she brings you homemade fudge every Christmas and always buys cookies from the Girl Scouts.
It doesn’t matter that your nana taught you to sew or your pop pop taught you to fish and theyre both just harmless old people who would never hurt anybody and bought you your first bicycle.
It doesn’t matter that the south is hospitable or the Midwest is hard working, in perception or fact.
It doesn’t matter if they’re your spouse,
best friend,
mother,
brother,
sister,
father,
boss …
Anyone who still supports this man is not really a good person. It doesn’t matter how nice they might seem or whatever they’ve done for you or your connection to them.
Their niceness is superficial and they have no moral or ethical compass.
I understand this is a hard pill for some people to swallow, especially the drum circle, peace loving, think positive, pothead hippie kumbayah types.
But we aren’t doing ourselves any favors continuing to kid ourselves on this.
