“Women have come a long way in this world; well, in America, especially. Although ladies can pretty much hop in their car, get a job, have a drink, and do whatever else they please, this was not always the case. Although you might be familiar with the fact that women had to fight for their rights, you probably don’t realize how many basic things females were denied. (White) Men, on the other hand, were not rejected from these same primary benefits …”
—40 Basic Rights Women Did Not Have Until The 1970s
What is the biggest issue between Democrats and Republicans right now?
Abortion.
Why are Republican politicians against abortion?
Because they know that they will get the votes for no matter what their policies are – they do not care about a life, they care about the vote.
They can deprive them of Social Security and Republican voters will still vote for them.
They can deprive them of women’s rights and Republican voters will still vote for them.
They can deprive them of healthcare and Republican voters will still vote for them.
They can deprive their children of a proper diet in schools and Republican voters will still vote for them.
They can deprive them of solutions for inflation and Republican voters will still vote for them.
Republican voters will only start voting Democrat when they realize Republican politicians do not have their best interests at heart, and were being fooled for decades.
What my friend Steven says …
Folks, if you’re concerned about our country getting sucked down the Fascism rabbit hole, but you’re managing to keep up with social media, then I have a better use for your time. The Democrats want what most people want – read our platform.
But Republicans have way more money and much less shame, and so they have created a very sophisticated propaganda machine to promote lies about what the Democrats want and how we can’t afford it (3% of U.S. military spending could end starvation on earth).
Democrats have only people. We motivated enough people in 2020 to get rid of a treasonous buffoon and stop losing so fast in the Senate, but if we can’t at least match that motivation in 2022, we’ll pretty much be over the cliff.
If we can’t pick up at least another seat in the Senate (vote Val Demings), the red states will be free to gerrymander their way to permanent Republican power, permanent persecution of women, minorities and non-heterosexuals, and permanent economies which rob from the poor and give to the rich. And their next stop will be the entire country.
C’mon, Make America Kind Again – before it’s too late.
