be­cause I can’t even be­gin to fath­om what shoul­der­ing the bur­den of guid­ing some­one from the be­gin­ning of ex­is­tence to be­com­ing a healthy,
eth­i­cal,
whole adult hu­man be­ing is even re­mote­ly like,

but

I’m pret­ty sure if you tell your doe-eyed,
im­pres­sion­able,
now ter­ri­fied tod­dler that the “en­tire store will catch on fire” if they touch any­thing,
you are very much the rea­son
we have a whole seg­ment of our pop­u­la­tion goose-step­ping
be­hind the
Tang-fla­vored night­mare ma­chine run­ning our coun­try.
