I will (and have) defend Tarantino for his myriad excesses,

but

The Hateful 8 (2015) inadvertently earns the hell out of half of its title.

Plus,

and I’m the last one to throw words like ‘gratuitous’ around as I tend to enjoy maximalism in my movies,

there’s a difference between using period or even genre-accurate dialogue and making the n‑word so common that it becomes part of the scenery for actors to graze on,

often like they are savouring every syllable.

JUST

like in Games of Thrones (2011–19) the actors would skip a beat and a half before saying “Fuck” with relish.

Also,

What’s with all these pumpkins rn that look like they have syphilllis?

This some new gourd trend?

Cuz I see these all over the place.
