423 is usu­al­ly an evening event, this time out – tho – we’re af­ter­noon­ing it. 

YOGA starts at 11, we jump in at 12:30 and 1pm we’re up and running.

Sec­ond Sat­ur­day kicks in at around 6, and then there’s cool things all over Sacramento.

1.   Café Rolle

To­tal­ly doable be­fore or af­ter our event. They close at 7:30 tho. Ex­cel­lent sand­wich­es, sal­ads, every­thing on the menu is mag­nifique. Info.
 

2.   An Evening of Fashion
1525 L Street, Sacramento
MiX Down­town presents new works by Project Run­way de­sign­ers Emi­ly Payne, Melis­sa Fleis, and Richard Hall­marq with lo­cal de­sign­ers Ex­tra Cheese, Jim­mie Joy Jew­els, Maisha Ba­hati, and Samuel Rose. Host­ed by America’s Next Top Model’s Chris Her­nan­dez. Doors 5pm, Run­way at 8, dance at 9:30pm. Info here.
 

3.   Walk the Boule­vard Live
Del Paso Boule­vard, North Sac
Oth­er lo­cal FLOM­MISTS will have mu­sic at Wood­lake Tav­ern, Up­town Piz­za and King Cong brew­ery to­mor­row evening and a gallery show at Nev­er Board (1525 Del Paso Boule­vard and 1518 Del Paso boule­vard) all day and Artspace1616 from 6–9. Info.
 

4.   El Grupo Espectaculo
923 20th Street, Midtown
One of my favourite gal­leries, b. saka­ta garo presents a large group show (18 artists, in­clud­ing a few FLOM­MISTS) work­ing in mul­ti­ple me­dias. 6–9pm. Web­site.

5. Three Pho­tog­ra­phy Shows
2015 J Street, Suite 101, Midtown
View­point Pho­to­graph­ic Arts Cen­ter ex­plores ar­chi­tec­ture and ab­strac­tion in the Main Gallery fea­tur­ing Dou­glas Vin­cent: Icons of Ar­chi­tec­ture & Gary E. Kar­cz: Ar­chi­tec­ture and Ab­strac­tion and sur­re­al­ism in the Step Up Gallery high­light­ing Jer­ry Kapler: Ma­nip­u­lat­ing Re­al­i­ty. The col­lec­tions work to­geth­er to cre­ate a dis­tinct sense of place with a fo­cus on al­ter­nate views of the world around us. Deets.
 

6. Best-of-the-Best 2.0
2500 J Street, Midtown
CK Art presents their sec­ond group show of some of their best, top-sell­ing con­tem­po­rary artists. Go buy some real art. Info.
 

7.   Aki­ra Beard: Life Drawing
2508 J Street, Midtown
GroundSwell Art presents artist Aki­ra Beard: Life Draw­ing. Sec­ond Sat­ur­day guests are in­vit­ed to ex­pe­ri­ence the most com­plete and ex­pan­sive rep­re­sen­ta­tion of this body of work to date. Tran­scen­den­tal and pri­mal in na­ture, Beard’s draw­ings re­veal ex­pres­sions of love, sen­su­al­i­ty, tur­moil and grief. And in Gallery II, vis­i­tors can see the vi­brant, pop­ping, graph­ic paint­ings by Sacra­men­to artist John Hor­ton. Hor­ton is also part of Wide Open Walls and his out­door mur­al can be seen on 19th St be­tween P & Q Streets. Info.
 

8.   Pix­e­lat­ed Takkun
1020 11th Street, Sacramento
FLOM­MIST-owned Obliv­ion Comics presents the work of Chris Bot­ter­ill of Pix­e­lat­ed Takkun. Re­cep­tion 6–9pm. Info.
 

9. RO­BOT Gallery Show
1126 18th Street, Sacramento
Art of Toys presents the fi­nal day of the RO­BOT gallery show that fea­tures works by Chris Cin­der, Gar­ry Gay, Robert Gor­don and John Bar­rett. Plus, a free hands-on art ac­tiv­i­ty will be out front. For all ages from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Info.
 

10.   Still Life Vari­a­tions and Juicy
915 20th Street, Sacramento
Tim Col­lom Gallery presents an open­ing night re­cep­tion with a dou­ble-dose of col­or­ful paint­ings by two Sacra­men­to artists, Pa­tri­cia Tool McHugh and Leslie Hackard. Info.
 

11.   Sacra­men­to Pride 2018
Pa­rade March starts at 3rd and N Street, ends at 10th and N Street.
Then on Sun­day 10 June 2018: Pa­rade and Fes­ti­val be­gins at 11am. Sev­er­al things planned, here’s all the de­tails.
 

12.   Sacra­men­to Au­dio Waf­fle #44
