My newest backward-looking musical obsession is 80s Sophistipop.

I’m sure there will be lots of hair-splitting about what is and is *not* sophistipop on this playlist (which I didn’t put together so can it, youse guys!) but it’s still a valid swing through a not-super-clearly-defined subgenre and besides there’s not a bad tune here.
