when i say i want equality

i want the equal right to lose my children in court

i want the equal right to lose half my wealth in divorce

i want to sign up for the draft

i want women’s suicide success rates to go up

i want to open my own door and pay for the tab on the day

i want to be expected to buy drinks and i want to go to jail if i so much as scare a man like i’m going to hurt/kill/rape him

but most women don’t

so no, women aren’t ready for equality yet
