Imagine waking up and no longer wondering “What did he do now?”

There’s nothing that can be said about this situation that hasn’t already been said before, but goddamnit I’m so tired of it.
I think people really took for granted not living in a country run by someone who is in the news every second of every day, and never for anything good.
There were entire weeks that went by under Obama that I didn’t hear his name. I could actually find people who didn’t always have huge bags under their eyes. A cough or a sniffle meant allergies or, at worst, a cold, and didn’t throw me into a panic that I’d perhaps caught a deadly virus.
It’s easy to dunk on him in hindsight. Hell, it’s even fashionable. I don’t have some undying love for the guy. He wasn’t perfect, he was far from it. And we didn’t make as much progress under his administration as most of us would have liked.
But holy shit.
Dumb liberals really did
1) take for granted how good they actually had it, and
2) underestimate the untamed, immeasurable wrath of racist conservatives.
I saw a tweet the other day that said, “So we all have to suffer and die now because we had a black president?” and that just about sums it up.
Also, “Hurrrrr de fuckin durrrr he used drones” lol okay Aster, don’t pretend like your intermittent pacifist ass gave half a shit about that until .2 seconds ago. Go enjoy a craft IPA and talk about how Ben Gibbard was better when he took drugs.
