Imagine sitting in your dark London house
during the Blitz,
and your neighbor turns his lights on,
because
“it’s his right.”

Dear Anti-maskers,
Here. Now you can be a real card carrying protester:
question:
Is it just me or are most of the states wanting to re-open, red states?
I’ve noticed many posts and people wanting to open early talking about those that don’t want to open “living in fear.”
The openers say they have nothing to fear and it is their right,
“To do what they want.”
It seems to me that are the same states and people terrified of Muslims, Blacks, Hispanics, immigrants, homosexuals, etc., etc., who believe it is their right,
“to do what they want.”
Is it just me or does there seem to be a disconnect here?
Conservatives are the father in a family.
Liberals are the mother in a family.
And we’re the kids looking for for safety and direction in our lives.
Winter is approaching and the mother says to the father, “The kids need new jackets.”
“The old ones are just fine,” says the father.
“But they are thread bear and have holes in them and are no longer waterproof.”
“They’ll just have to make do. New ones are too expensive we can’t afford it.”
“Why? You make really good money why can’t we afford them?”
“Because I said so.”
“But they need new jackets.”
“I said no.”
Does this scenario sound familiar? Reminds me of growing up as a kid Dad always said no because it was easier to say no, he was always worried about never having enough money.
Different scenario:
Mom, “Winter’s coming the kids need new jackets.”
Dad, “You’re right they do, let’s see if we can figure out together how we can afford them.”
Mom, “Well, I could cut back on a couple of things.”
Dad, “Yes and I I can ask for a raise. I’m due for one.”
This is how conservatives and liberals can work together. By realizing it takes two to solve a problem.
