“There is nothing like this going on anywhere. Bay Area or otherwise.”
—My favorite comment from an attendee at last year’s FLOMM 4.23 event
It was the first time we did it. And it was made up in just a few weeks, run by the energy of flommists, artists, volunteers.
And this year will be different.
MOR hands on,
a bit MOR on the historical photography side of things,
we’re going to fire up the letterpress (print your own stuff),
collaborative pieces,
avant garde short subjects,
a propaganda workshop,
BWARGH will be emceeing this year,
we’ll have rare and unusual merch +
a bunch of things we haven’t decided on yet.
AND WE WILL BE CELEBRATING the 100th Anniversary of De Stijl, the art movement that inspired what FLOMM has become!
WATCH THIS SPACE – we are designing the materials NOW and we will post on derTung first. Then on all our other social media. Microsite coming soon. Here again is what we did last year.
THIS WILL HAPPEN ON A SATURDAY NIGHT and we will be doing a new year’s‑stijl countdown to 4.23 – note: the event is actually on 22 April 2017, not on the actual 23.
BECAUSE MODERN ART. BECAUSE DADA. BECAUSE FLOMM.
IF YOU ARE AN ARTIST and want to get INVOLVED, drop us a line.
WE ARE again making it up as we go.
And seeing how far we can take it.
