What a whirl. Here is a sto­ry!

Fri­day night I had my first con­tact jug­gling gig, and didn’t re­al­ize a few things about the venue. We were per­form­ing in a se­cret chapel in the bow­els of an air­craft car­ri­er – while an all night rave went on up­stairs.

Our cabaret was splen­did.

Then, around 6 a.m. I drove for an hour, while near­ly falling asleep, to go set up a booth at a con­ven­tion called Vaca-Con. This was the first time this event had tak­en place, but it turned out that tons of peo­ple came and es­pe­cial­ly lots of kids.

This was a fab­u­lous day for oc­topi, per­fect con­di­tions for sales be­cause I had a spot right next to the door so many found new homes.

This went from 10 to 4, and I was a lit­tle neg­li­gent on eat­ing be­cause the booth was so busy I didn’t get the chance to pause. So, af­ter­wards I got Thai food and near­ly fell asleep in my cur­ry. Pshew. I’ll re­mem­ber this when­ev­er I next agree to a gig start­ing 12 hours right af­ter the pri­or one.

But I’m hap­py to be liv­ing the dream, Jug­gler by night, toy mak­er by day.
