I’ll be honest – the attitude of quite a few of my fellow millennial Sanders supporters is rather frustrating.
We’re not even close to done with the race and yesterday was jam packed filled with
‘Oh no, Sanders is losing and now everything is bad
frown emoticon.’
Is this how our generation fights for change? No wonder we can’t get anything done! Sanders needs to be viewed as the front-runner. Period. Not as ‘runner-up’ or ‘hopeful.’ No – he will be the winner. We need to show strength to garner support from delegates and superdelegates whom 60% are biased for Hillary.
My fellow millennials, I mean this in the nicest way: Stop moping around. Learn how elections work, learn about past elections and stop being emotional over your own lack of information/baseless speculations. Fight until the end (whatever that may be) to keep the momentum going strong. We cannot afford to have Sanders stereotyped to be the loser – he’s far from that. So please keep your insecurities out of your politics because it damages the momentum.
Put it this way – Obama lost Super Tuesday. He still won. And that Hillary won the states she was predicted to in a much smaller margin with Sanders than she did with Obama in the 2008 primary says a lot.
Wait for the ‘Liberal’ states with much tougher voting regulations (so they can’t pull shit like they did in Iowa and Nevada). We got this.
