For most – it appears from over here, not being a mother – having children is a unique and wonderful experience.
If you believe it makes you more of a woman, or more of a person, cool.
But maybe consider how you present this to acquaintances and colleagues.
Unless they’ve told you, you don’t know why other adults around you don’t have children. And all And all reasons for not having children are valid.
Over the last two years of teaching, I’ve heard people share that being a mother makes them a better educator. I don’t doubt that this is true for those that have said it.
At the same time, being a parent doesn’t suddenly make everyone a good educator.
Also, not all of our students will have children, it is not a bad thing that they have teachers that don’t have children.
