exhausted

I was feel­ing tired at a nor­mal time tonight, but of course Storm wants to go out­side.

I get up with no pants or shoes to let her out front. Of course there’s some­thing in the bush­es.

Storm turns into a Point­er, half bent front leg and all.

Her bat ears up in full echolo­ca­tion mode. I call her back in­side, while per­son­al­ly ex­cit­ed it’s prob not a cat.

Run back in­side I fum­ble around for at least a minute to get shoes and a flash­light; eff the pants I’ll just grab a hood­ie.

We go back out­side and the small­est of our neigh­bor­hood rac­coons is still in the bush next to the step.

Storm again in full Point­er mode fol­lows as it scur­ries up into the tree at the prop­er­ty line.

Storm had to have been 8 inch­es from the lit­tle fur­ball when she first walked out­side.

Thank je­bus nei­ther of them went for each oth­er. Then I went back out and left it an ap­ple. And found five dol­lars.

Moral is: Now I am not tired. At all.
