monthly flomm gallery shows in sacramento – with coffee!

I’ve known Gabe M. San­ford a long time (pret­ty sure he was one of my stu­dents. Pret­ty sure) and when­ev­er I’m roam­ing around art in Sacra­men­to, I tend to run into Gabe.

AND

with artist Tony Allen, Gabe’s been cu­rat­ing a bunch of shows fea­tur­ing lo­cal artists.

And now FLOMM is in­volved, be­cause why not?
 

ONE OF MY BIG THINGS
is reach­ing across the aisles of oft splin­tered Sacra­men­to art groups while at­tempt­ing to break down walls when­ev­er pos­si­ble. Some­times it werks, some­times I get

3 gallery shows a month. Each show runs about 4 weeks at a dif­fer­ent OLD SOUL lo­ca­tion:

Graph­ic de­sign by me, do­ing a few things I was told nev­er to do when I was a de­sign stu­dent.

And tim­ing is per­fect: A bunch of oth­er FLOMM stuff is on hold rn be­cause I’m hav­ing a few spine/n­erve-re­lat­ed health prob­lems that are slow­ing me down – why I still haven’t done a re­cap of our last 423 event in April. I see a neu­rol­o­gist Fri­day morn­ing to maybe fig­ure out this ‘oh, I’ve got­ten old’ thing.

BUT

I can still click a mouse. Make ab­stract graph­ic de­sign things.
