I’ve known Gabe M. Sanford a long time (pretty sure he was one of my students. Pretty sure) and whenever I’m roaming around art in Sacramento, I tend to run into Gabe.
AND
with artist Tony Allen, Gabe’s been curating a bunch of shows featuring local artists.
And now FLOMM is involved, because why not?
ONE OF MY BIG THINGS
is reaching across the aisles of oft splintered Sacramento art groups while attempting to break down walls whenever possible. Sometimes it werks, sometimes I get
SO
if you’re around FRIDAY or SATURDAY head to
3 gallery shows a month. Each show runs about 4 weeks at a different OLD SOUL location:
Graphic design by me, doing a few things I was told never to do when I was a design student.
And timing is perfect: A bunch of other FLOMM stuff is on hold rn because I’m having a few spine/nerve-related health problems that are slowing me down – why I still haven’t done a recap of our last 423 event in April. I see a neurologist Friday morning to maybe figure out this ‘oh, I’ve gotten old’ thing.
BUT
I can still click a mouse. Make abstract graphic design things.
If you’d like YOUR werks featured, contact Gabe and do werk out something. He’s one of the cool ones.
