I Used to see it in your eyes
They gave away the clues
How much you noticed details
My hands, my hair
Running your fingers through each
A wanting to hold them
I Used to know it in your smile
It gave away quite a lot
How much you’d enjoy
My dumb jokes and displays
Listening to your lips speak softly
A longing to kiss them
I Used to feel it in your embrace
It showed almost everything
How much you held on
My tiny body to yours
Warmed by your attentive hugs
A craving for your closeness
I Used to sense it in your lust
It proved what was desired
How much passion between us
My naive wonder finally reached,
This impractical perfection shared
A compulsion for your hunger
Now I see it in your slack
Of words, closeness and attention
It clarified the turn of intensions
How much had let go during
Our feverish little games
Forgetting what it was like
An unwanted lesson given
