When ICE mur­ders me
read my poems
 
like gunfire
or explosives
 
tie them around
every one of the cowards
mouths
and necks
 
do not let them lie
say my grandfather’s pride
be­came this
mag­got in­fest­ed corpse
 
moments
I’m glad my fa­ther is
al­ready dead
 
their je­sus a killer
god save the poets
 
may min­neapo­lis burn
as many times as it needs
to
 
these are holy flames
 
flick­er­ing to illuminate
her hand­writ­ing on walls
 
of this cage
they are building
for all of us.
