Soon enough I’ll go back to a life full of holes and problems,
but deep in a cave today
I saw an image of horse so beautiful it made me cry –
a horse painted 29,000 years ago.
—this, an hour after stumbling upon the house of Andre Breton in a town I learned he described as “l’impossible rose de la nuit.”
My reality can wait.
Here, the rock was already ‘cut’ in the shape of a horse’s silhouette ages before an early artist so cleverly completed it.
Andre Breton’s house, Village de Saint-Cirq-Lapopie.
