I was feeling tired at a normal time tonight, but of course Storm wants to go outside.
I get up with no pants or shoes to let her out front. Of course there’s something in the bushes.
Storm turns into a Pointer, half bent front leg and all.
Her bat ears up in full echolocation mode. I call her back inside, while personally excited it’s prob not a cat.
Run back inside I fumble around for at least a minute to get shoes and a flashlight; eff the pants I’ll just grab a hoodie.
We go back outside and the smallest of our neighborhood raccoons is still in the bush next to the step.
Storm again in full Pointer mode follows as it scurries up into the tree at the property line.
Storm had to have been 8 inches from the little furball when she first walked outside.
Thank jebus neither of them went for each other. Then I went back out and left it an apple. And found five dollars.
Moral is: Now I am not tired. At all.
