JIAYI YOUNG
brings global concerns to the forefront in her data-driven interactive media work. Drawing upon the intersection of art, science and technology, her work deals with issues of place and identity (both personal and collective). The end product is usually manifested in a hybrid medium that fuses visual language with scientific data or theory, and emergent media. Her work has been shown and published in exhibitions, festivals, conferences and publications such as the Hall of Science, New York; International Symposium of Electronic Art (ISEA); Cyberfest 2009, Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg; Moltkerei Werkstatt, Germany, and the Leonardo Electronic Almanac (LEA).

STEVE MEHALLO
has over 20 years communications experience in graphic design, illustration, brand development, advertising, publishing and font design. Steve’s multi-industry background includes technology, retail, accounting, health care, insurance, legal, staffing, publishing, music, fashion, philanthropy, education and the arts, among others. He is a past president of the Art Directors and Artists Club of Sacramento and his work has been written about in Communication Arts, Creative Review, HOW and other industry journals. Steve currently teaches typography and design history courses at The Art Institute of California-Sacramento, American River College and University of the Pacific.
