I just watched this video on In­fowars (be­low) where this guy rants about how mod­ern art is dead be­cause it al­ways fil­ters through a po­lit­i­cal or so­cial lense.

Maybe he missed most of art his­to­ry be­cause pret­ty much most art or art move­ments were cre­at­ed out of protest.

That’s not a mod­ern con­cept at all.

And, he’s ac­tu­al­ly con­demn­ing ‘con­tem­po­rary art,’ not ‘mod­ern art.’ There IS a dif­fer­ence.

Watch it if you can get through it. Slight­ly thought-pro­vok­ing but most­ly id­i­ot­ic, noth­ing new here by way of ar­gu­ment.

We are liv­ing in such a strange time and I am re­al­ly try­ing to make sense of it. Peo­ple are very closed-mind­ed. Not near­ly pa­tient enough to see past their own noses. Or their own rhetoric.
