Postal Ser­vice comes into play, and they all get to­geth­er to plan things out. One guy brings up en­velopes, “We can’t be deal­ing with wax any­more, so how do we seal them?” An­oth­er guy pipes up and states con­fi­dent­ly “Lick em!”

Every­one gives him a weird look, but he ex­plains the glue on the flap and its con­ve­nience. They agree to it and the con­ver­sa­tion gets go­ing again, “Next up, how do we keep track of postage?” “We’ll use a stamp.” “We can’t use a rub­ber stamp, peo­ple will be mak­ing their own.” “Let’s sell them a spe­cial one.” “Yeah, but how do we af­fix it to the en­velopes?” “Lick those too!” “Bob, we’re re­al­ly start­ing to be dis­turbed by you. But you fund­ed the pants, so we’ll lick the stamps too.”

And those are the sce­nar­ios I like to think ac­tu­al­ly took place.
