Teeth on the cob.

2017 was a year of brav­ery for this one.

•  this year I had my boobs re­moved
•  at­tend­ed three gay pa­rades, in San Fran­cis­co, Berlin, and Copen­hagen – co­in­ci­den­tal­ly bump­ing into peo­ple who I love
•  played an NPC at a sci­fi LARP
•  moved to the op­po­site side of the world
•  spent the whole year de­light­ful­ly sin­gle
•  fell mad­ly in fas­ci­na­tion with con­tact jug­gling, vis­it­ed a fire spin­ning con­ven­tion
•  trav­elled to two coun­tries where I didn’t speak the lan­guage
•  be­came in­volved in in­ter­na­tion­al LARP­ing and pre­tend­ing to be a wiz­ard
•  be­gan read­ing way more fre­quent­ly
•  took learn­ing Ger­man quite se­ri­ous­ly
•  con­tin­ued a d&d cam­paign for its 2nd year with an ex­cel­lent group of new play­ers

Ear­ly De­cem­ber we went to a cas­tle in Poland where this one be­came the em­bod­i­ment of Moss. Here are some pho­tos – with our cal­lig­ra­phy teacher, a moon elf, and the queen of the win­ter fae.

This has been a dif­fi­cult but grow­ing time.
I now know what it is like to feel com­plete­ly phys­i­cal­ly weak. I also un­der­stand my de­sire to seek cre­ative com­mu­ni­ties and grow with oth­er peo­ple.

This is part of my read­ing plan. Quite hyped and thank­ful to bor­row these from our new flat­mate.

About to do my first Es­cape room with some de­light­ful LARPers in Poland.

This year I will fin­ish my bach­e­lors de­gree.

Then I’ll be choos­ing where to start my work life.

Maybe stay­ing in Ger­many, per­haps mov­ing back to LA work­ing in de­sign or maybe go­ing to Oak­land to pur­sue cir­cus.

Fig­ur­ing out the bal­ance of where I’m want­ed with where I can con­tin­ue to ap­ply and per­fect skills in cre­ation.

I hope we meet on our ad­ven­tures.
