oh the noise!

FLOMM is not just art, not just a game, we’re into all forms of ex­pres­sion­ist rude­ness … and buried with­in the his­to­ry of the Fu­tur­ists is a bunch of NOISE.

Yes, Rus­so­lo was punk rock be­fore punk rock. And over here in Sacra­men­to some of us have own noisy ruckus­es:

The NOR­CAL NOISE­FEST, found­ed in 1995, is the longest-run­ning ex­per­i­men­tal mu­sic fes­ti­val in the US.

NOISE­FEST is ded­i­cat­ed to pro­mot­ing noise,

pow­er elec­tron­ics, harsh noise, am­bi­ent, glitch, and musique con­crete –

with a bunch of FLOM­MISTS float­ing amongst the 50 or so band par­tic­i­pants.

NOR­CAL NOISE­FEST is a three day fes­ti­val and this year it hap­pens 6–8 OC­TO­BER 2017 in Sacra­men­to.
 

 

Line­up in­cludes flom­mist US­TAM (seen above), Side­walk Bru­je­ria, Davy Bui, Taran­tu­la Princess, Naked Em­per­or, Cut SHut­ters, Sea Moss, C.J. Borosque, Skrunt Skrunt, J3M5, Pul­sat­ing Cyst, Hu­man­flu­idrot, Filth­milk, Liv­er Can­cer, Xome, Ver­to­nen Uberkun­st, Eu­rostache, Fis­chkopf Sin­foniker and MANY many MOR.
 

 

As per usu­al, each NOISE­FEST has a slew new me­dia, tees, but­tons, earplugs (of course!) and a com­pi­la­tion al­bum.

And added on, this year’s NOISE­FEST will also fea­ture a Sun­day simul­cast by UBUIBI RA­DIO, and all three days will fea­ture a re­mote WiFi serv­er called the PI­RATE BOX, al­low­ing Noise­fest vis­i­tors to up­load and down­load au­dio, video files and oth­er me­dia via mo­bile de­vices.
