We played cha­rades every New Year’s Eve at my house and I re­mem­ber one time putting An­i­ma­ni­acs as the TV show into the bowl.

My mom got it and im­me­di­ate­ly looked at me (she knew. Oh. She knew).

And then I got to see my mom move around spo­rad­i­cal­ly, throw­ing her arms around and stomp­ing on the ground, and laugh­ing be­cause she couldn’t fig­ure out how to give the clues to a bunch of old­er peo­ple. So she tried to cheat and HUM the open­ing.

I was no longer al­lowed to put kid’s shows into the bowl.

So I put Duck Soup in as a movie. >:]

It’s one of my favourite New Year’s Eve mem­o­ries.
