Where will the next project go? Will it build off what’s al­ready been done or em­bark into some­thing NEW – or some­thing OLD, but NEW – NOW, fa­mil­iar but not. Con­tra­dic­tion, con­flict, de­fi­ance, de­nial!

In a blitz of ag­gres­sion and sleep­less­ness Flomm erupts forth, be­tween pay­cheques, af­ter hours dur­ing lunch and af­ter din­ner – from ideas, books, jour­nals and spec­u­la­tion! Look­ing at art, art and MOR art. Gal­leries, mu­se­ums and words! Ideas are the easy part, mak­ing them work takes TIME – tick­ing ab­strac­tion of the by­gone, The ThWINGh and THeM!

On, ON to the can­vas, litres of kom­bucha pas­sion­ate­ly sipped, fer­vor dust­ing from brush­es, scrub­bing the colour palette with a dash of uma­mi to match the beau­ty and anger that met with the de­ter­mi­na­tion of the fore­clo­sure robo­calls! Your call is VERY im­por­tant to us, please con­tin­ue to STAY ON THE LINE!

From FLOMM a sal­vo of ex­pres­sion, form, colour, ab­strac­tion, as­sem­blage, analo­gies, sin­gu­lar­i­ties, du­al­i­ties, tri­al­i­ties, prim­i­tivi­al­i­ties, and pile af­ter pile of ex­treme­ly hor­ri­ble, melo­dra­mat­ic, mod­ernist rhetoric!

 
In the com­ing months, der­Tung will chart the five year process that re­sult­ed in FLOMM! THE BAT­TLE For MOD­eRN 1923 as a video game, ed­u­ca­tion­al project, so­cial ex­per­i­ment and pro­cras­ti­na­tion en­deav­or – through writ­ten word, po­et­ry, im­agery, recipes, and the­o­ry.
