immediate results for an idealized country

Sun­day night’s de­bate re­flects a very Amer­i­can ide­al of an
“I want it yesterday/immediate re­sults im­me­di­ate­ly”
men­tal­i­ty

which is why so many ig­no­rant minds can be so eas­i­ly per­suad­ed by this school­yard bul­ly,
who uses his good brain and words good,
to make some­thing ap­peal­ing to you,
some­thing that he will nev­er give you.
An ide­al­ized coun­try.

This is not nor has it ever been an elec­tion for im­me­di­ate re­sults,
why are we seem­ing­ly so sud­den­ly cry­ing out for im­me­di­ate re­sults from our gov­ern­ment?

Could there be things deep­er than the sur­face.
Some­thing.
Is.
Wrong.
With the state of THINGS.
We are a very young coun­try.
Think about the long-run.
Think about the fu­ture for Amer­i­can chil­dren,
not your­selves,
not your gripes that you have right now,
that SOME­ONE keeps al­lud­ing to as if he’s “on your side”
nudge nudge, wink wink.
Rhetoric.
Bull­shit.

He just said “was laughed at all over the world.”

I did­n’t know “not be­ing laughed at” was a se­ri­ous mat­ter in Amer­i­can pol­i­tics.
