Bush also un­der­mined our democ­ra­cy by steal­ing an elec­tion (I would ar­gue both con­sid­er­ing what hap­pened in Ohio, Michi­gan, and Flori­da in round two) and lever­ag­ing an un­prece­dent­ed amount of pow­er to the ex­ec­u­tive branch (that Trump is now en­joy­ing). George W. Bush also has ties to such no­table White Su­prema­cists as David Duke, Lar­ry Pratt, and Richard Quinn. (Also, for some­one who doesn’t “like the racism” I could write a fuck­ing se­ries of books cov­er­ing every­thing from his Is­lam­o­pho­bia to his treat­ment of Ka­t­ri­na vic­tims that un­equiv­o­cal­ly proves oth­er­wise).

George W. Bush is also a war crim­i­nal who spit in the face of the Gene­va Con­ven­tion by sanc­tion­ing tor­ture and launched an il­le­gal war that killed hun­dreds of thou­sands of Iraqi civil­ians and 4,500 Amer­i­can sol­diers.

There are many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many more par­al­lels.

I know we all hate fuck­ing Trump with the pas­sion of one mil­lion suns but can we stop with the less­er evil apol­o­gist shit be­cause George W. Bush — who is clear­ly only speak­ing out be­cause he has a pen­chant for vendet­tas against those who cross his fam­i­ly (Sad­dam v Dad­dy Bush, Trump v Broth­er Jeb) and wants to atone for his tenure, not be­cause of any moral cen­ter, but be­cause Kanye West once said he did­n’t like Black peo­ple and that made him look bad (see Matt Lauer in­ter­view) — mild­ly crit­i­cized the Fuhrer.
 

Fuck them both. They are both to use Trump’s fa­vorite Stal­in quote “en­e­mies of the state.”
