Like the Phoenix,
may you rise from the ash­es of your dy­ing par­ty
and re­turn to the glo­ry that was Roo­sevelt and Eisen­how­er.

The par­ty of growth and in­fra­struc­ture.

As a De­mo­c­rat I long for the days of not fight­ing over whether the EPA,
es­tab­lished by a Re­pub­li­can,
should be or not be,
but about how much should be spent to have it.

For the days of pro­tect­ing Na­tion­al Parks,
es­tab­lished by a Re­pub­li­can,
with cost ef­fec­tive­ness.

For the day of agree­ing that free­ways and bridges,
built by a Re­pub­li­can,
need to be re­paired,
and find­ing a more cost ef­fec­tive way to do it.

Trump is tak­ing your par­ty and the na­tion down a path of reck­less de­struc­tion.

He is like hav­ing an ad­dict in con­trol of your fam­i­ly,
they al­ways put their needs first,
all the while promis­ing change and a bet­ter life,
point­ing fin­gers at oth­ers, blam­ing oth­ers for their in­abil­i­ty to func­tion.
