Thank you for show­ing the world some­thing they have know all along, we are a na­tion full of hate­ful, self­ish, spoiled, racist ho­mo­phobes.

We keep try­ing to con­vince the world we are a lov­ing na­tion who ac­cepts all peo­ple, yet they’ve known it wasn’t true. We try to con­vince them we aren’t racist, yet they know it wasn’t true. We try to con­vince them we give of our­selves freely, yet they know it wasn’t true.

You have brought our fes­ter­ing pus filled so­ci­ety to a head and only once it bursts will it be­gin to heal.

So thank you, Don­ald, for we can no longer pre­tend to be what we aren’t and nev­er have been, for now we are raw, ex­posed, and for­ev­er changed.
